Google, the world’s most used search engine, has launched another product in Beta, a RSS reader, reported Google Rumors in a recent listing.
Google Reader is a web-based RSS reader that requires a login, similar to GMail, before letting you start organizing your feeds. Readers can organize the feeds with various names, import subscriptions from other RSS readers or services and easily subscribe to feeds simply by entering the RSS URL.
According to Google Rumors, the index page appears to be empty at this point, which means Google does not include feeds from widely read news publications such as Reuters. Whether that would change in the near future is unclear at the moment.
Google’s RSS reader will surely put other web based RSS reader services such as Newsgator and Pluck on high alert."
